Tammora Bio Research Institute

Introduction to corporate research institutes

Tammora Bio-Agricultural Corporation is leading the way in developing technologies that enable livestock farming and the environment to coexist by utilizing resources from the pristine nature of Jeju Island.
At its heart is a self-operated corporate research institute.

Our research institute has set as its core task the resource utilization of citrus peel by-products generated from the citrus processing industry.
We are researching and developing fermentation technologies that can maximize the natural sugars, fiber, and flavonoids contained in this byproduct.

Main research areas

  • 1.

Development of an advanced fermentation process for citrus peel

Optimization of inoculation combinations of various microorganisms, including Lactobacillus, Saccharomyces, and Bacillus.

Establishment of technology to control fermentation conditions (temperature, time, moisture, pH)

Development of post-processing technology to remove odor and improve palatability

  • 2.

Design of customized feed composition for each animal species

A balanced mix of fiber, protein, and microorganisms suitable for ruminants (cattle) and monogastric animals (pigs, poultry, etc.)

Optimal mix design for each growth stage (breeding, breeding, fattening, etc.)

  • 3.

Research on functional feed alternatives to antibiotics

Analysis of the effects of inducing the proliferation of beneficial bacteria and improving the intestinal environment

Research on plant-based supplements with immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory properties

  • 4.

Research on building a sustainable resource circulation model

Reducing local waste and expanding biomass utilization

Establishment of technology to control fermentation conditions (temperature, time, moisture, pH)

Research infrastructure

Owns its own experimental culture laboratory and fermentation test plant

Operation of field-applicable pilot-scale fermentation equipment

Feed sample analysis equipment (moisture, crude protein, organic acid, pH, etc.)

Quality verification system in cooperation with external expert analysis agencies

The Institute's Goals

Contributing to the sustainability and environmental resilience of the livestock industry through the development of high-value-added biofeed technology based on local resources.

Future tasks

Expanding the lineup of functional supplementary feeds

Feed development that takes organic certification and animal welfare standards into account

Development of customized products for export and securing technology that meets international standards

Promoting joint research with agricultural and livestock research institutes in the Jeju region
